philosophy of mind, again
i was interested in philosophy of mind. at some point, i found i had to do a huge amount of philosophy of language if i wanna do philosophy of mind. that was obvious. and i took seriously chomsky's advice that we should study linguistics to do philosophy of language. then ive been covering linguistic studies to some extent, syntax and semantics. and i also carefully read frege and russell over six months, because i thought it was orthodox. i almost forget about philosophy of mind. churchland, dennett, etc.
now im working on logical form in philosophy and linguistics. that is pretty much linguistics. im just summing up the notion of LF within the minimalist program. but now i realized i got into philosophy of mind again, since i have to care about how linguistic rules or principles are implemented in the mind/brain. through chomsky's works ive seen representations, individualism, and so on and so forth.
わお,これはとっても心の哲学じゃないか,と.というわけで,大学院生になったら,自然にフォーダーとか読むようになるようになるだろう.
